Oh YUM!  Deviled eggs at a potluck!

Oh DARN!  They’re made with mayonnaise, mustard, white vinegar, and table salt.  I definitely cannot eat those! (Why not?  Each of those ingredients may contain gluten, grains or grain derivatives, soy, dairy, and sugar… and may interrupt the progress of your dietary lifestyle.  Whatt??  To find out why I avoid those ingredients, read my full story at this link.)

Grain Free Deviled Eggs Recipe (Paleo, Dairy Free)


  • 6 pastured hard boiled eggs (Bake them in the oven like this)
  • 1/3 cup Daisy brand sour cream or our Paleo Mayo (for dairy-free)
  • 1 packet GGF Gourmet Ranch Dressing Mix (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon organic apple cider vinegar
  • Paprika to sprinkle on top (optional)


  1. Prepare the hard boiled eggs; once cooled, carefully cut each one in half with a smooth edged-knife
  2. Remove the yolk and place in a separate bowl
  3. Mash the yolks with a fork or grind in a food processor
  4. Add the sour cream or mayonnaise and stir
  5. Add the ranch dressing packet and stir until well combined
  6. Using a pastry bag or a spoon, fill each egg half with the mixture
  7. Sprinkle with paprika and chill prior to serving
  8. (May be stored in an airtight container for up to a week in the refrigerator)

Here’s the how-to in pictures:

Prepare the hard-boiled eggs, then mash the yolks as above.

Add the sour cream or Paleo mayo, the apple cider vinegar, and any seasonings desired and combine.

Try not to eat them BEFORE the guests arrived (if you’ll notice, there’s one missing from the picture! :))
