Breakfast is SO important. THE most important meal of the day! And yet, we rush out the door to our job, school, appointment, gym…leaving our body hungering to wake up. The word “breakfast” means just what it says – it “breaks your fast” from the night before. Your metabolism doesn’t kick into gear until you give it a reason to do so.
That being said, we are busy people. Places to go, things to do, juggling multiple priorities. So…keep it simple, but keep it smart! Gluten free, grain free, soy free, sugar free = a happier, healthier body and a wise start to the day.
Here is a simple, palate-friendly, coordinated gluten free breakfast idea: Take some of your favorite cheese, cut into squares or cubes or chunks or whatever shape speaks to you. Cut an orange into wedges. Place on a plate, in a mug, a ziploc bag…whatever it takes! Enjoy at the kitchen table, in the car, or on the bus. Your body will thank you!
Don’t worry if your socks don’t match…your breakfast will coordinate. 🙂
